Dr. Jeff Davis - Dentistry For Children

Jeffrey Davis, DDS

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Davis grew up in Boise where he attended Boise High School and received his undergraduate degree from Boise State University. Subsequently, he graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2004. After graduation, he owned and operated Alpine Heights Dentistry, a thriving family and cosmetic dentistry private practice in Meridian, ID for nine years. During this time, Dr. Davis discovered his special passion for working with children and teenagers, which led him to pursue a career in Pediatric Dentistry. As a result, he completed his hospital-based pediatric residency in 2015 and Board Certified in 2016.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Davis is actively involved in professional organizations. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, the Idaho Dental Association, and Gnathos Orthodontics. Furthermore, in 2007, he completed the Clinical Modification of Dentofacial Development, applied orthodontic and dentofacial treatment methods, and continues to be an active member of Gnathos.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Davis is a family man and an outdoor enthusiast. He and his wife Audra are the parents of four children. Moreover, his hobbies include cycling, water skiing, golf, basketball, and scuba diving. He particularly enjoys spending time with his wife and coaching his children’s sports.

Dr. Laura Videtich 2 - Dentistry For Children

Laura Videtich, DDS

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Laura Videtich, another member of the team, also has an impressive background. She grew up in Omaha, NE and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Following this, she earned her D.D.S. degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After dental school, Dr. Laura gained valuable experience working in private practice before transitioning to a public health center. There, she spent a significant amount of time on the tooth mobile, providing dental services to underprivileged children throughout Omaha. These experiences ultimately solidified her decision to pursue post-doctorate training, leading her to complete her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital in Omaha.

Like Dr. Davis, Dr. Laura is also committed to professional development and is a member of several professional organizations. Specifically, she is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Additionally, she is Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

In their personal lives, Dr. Laura and her husband Brandon share a love for outdoor activities and their dogs, Howie and Eloise.

Planning Your First Visit

Planning Your First Visit

Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that your child visit the dentist by his/her 1st birthday. You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. Your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.

It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as “needle”, “shot”, “pull”, “drill” or “hurt”. The office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message, but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child.

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child’s confidence and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, you may come with your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.
